1. ABOUT THESE TERMS

These Terms and Conditions apply to all work carried out by Ejaz Gas & Electric ("we", "us", or "our"). By booking our services or accepting a quote, you ("the Customer") agree to these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. OUR SERVICES

All work will be carried out to a professional standard and in compliance with relevant UK regulations and building standards.

3. QUOTES AND ESTIMATES

Additional work requested by you outside the original scope will be charged separately and agreed before starting.

4. PAYMENT

4.1 Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in your quote or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon completion of the work.

For larger jobs, we may require a deposit before starting work, with the remainder due upon completion.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, and card. All prices include VAT where applicable.

4.3 Late Payment

If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. APPOINTMENTS AND ACCESS

We will arrange appointment times with you in advance. You must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.

If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee.

If we cannot access the property at the agreed time due to circumstances beyond our control, we may need to reschedule and additional charges may apply.

6. MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP

Unless otherwise agreed, we will supply all necessary materials. Materials are included in the quoted price unless specified separately.

If you supply materials, you are responsible for ensuring they are suitable for the job. We are not liable for defects in customer-supplied materials.

All work is guaranteed for 12 months from completion against defects in workmanship. This does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse.

7. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

•       Provide accurate information about the work required

•       Inform us of any hazards, asbestos, or special conditions at the property

•       Clear the work area of valuable or fragile items

•       Ensure pets are secured away from the work area

•       Notify us immediately if you have any concerns about the work

8. DELAYS AND UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

We will make reasonable efforts to complete work within agreed timeframes. However, completion dates are estimates and may be affected by:

•       Unforeseen complications discovered during the work

•       Delays in obtaining materials or parts

•       Adverse weather conditions

•       Changes requested by you

We will inform you of any significant delays as soon as possible.

9. CANCELLATION

9.1 Your Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer (not a business), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting our quote, unless work has already begun with your agreement.

If you cancel after work has started, you must pay for work completed and materials used up to the cancellation date.

9.2 Our Right to Cancel

We may cancel or suspend work if payment is overdue, if you breach these terms, or if we cannot safely complete the work due to site conditions.

10. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

We carry appropriate public liability insurance to protect both you and our business.

We will take reasonable care to avoid damage to your property. If damage occurs due to our negligence, we will repair it or compensate you fairly.

We are not liable for:

•       Damage to hidden pipes, cables, or structures that could not reasonably be detected

•       Damage to customer-supplied materials

•       Pre-existing defects or issues not related to our work

•       Issues arising from failure to follow our maintenance advice

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. COMPLAINTS

If you are not satisfied with our work, please contact us immediately so we can put things right. We aim to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly.

12. DATA PROTECTION

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws. Please see our separate Privacy Policy for full details.

We use TradeMate, a business management platform, to manage our bookings, customer communications, and appointments. Your information is stored securely in accordance with UK data protection requirements.

13. SUBCONTRACTORS

We may use qualified subcontractors for specialist work. Any subcontractors will work to the same standards and are covered by these terms.

14. SITE SAFETY

We will work safely and comply with health and safety regulations. The work area may be hazardous during the job - please keep children and pets away.

We will leave the site clean and tidy at the end of each day and remove all waste unless otherwise agreed.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Any designs, plans, or specifications we create remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

16. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These terms, together with any written quote or contract, represent the entire agreement between us. Any changes must be agreed in writing.

17. SEVERABILITY

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
